Topic > Humanity and conflict in David Walker's differences?
In his appeal, Walker calls together all people of color against slavery. It unifies these people, affirming that as humanity we are one. Walker proposes to all Americans “Is he not their Master as well as ours? Why then must we obey and call any other Master than Himself?” (Walker). With this statement, Walker is not only attempting to unite the black people of America, but also their white masters. He is suggesting that, according to our faith, we all have a common way and we all have a common goal of doing God's will by showing servitude to Jesus Christ. “The Appeal of David Walker” contains a powerful message that invites all Americans to intertwine in our faith and with each other, working towards a community
