The intention of teenagers being given curfews of a certain time limit in several states is to limit gang violence and use curfews as a key tool to do so. (Wagner, Matthew 2). Curfew is a way to control teenagers who have minimal self-control along with little to no parental control. (Hall, Maggie 2). Various amounts of teenagers cannot be trusted to act with such autonomy and responsibility. (Love, Dennis 2). Having a curfew indicates who the teenager is and what he or she does. (Love, Dennis 2). To give other teenagers an idea of where they live or reside and to show how much character they have, teenagers stay out longer and longer to give other teenagers the feeling of doing what they want. (Love, Dennis 2). Admitting that parents have jurisdiction over curfews is not the first answer for many teenagers. (Love, Dennis 2). If parents set a curfew for their child or children to show that arriving on time is important, they can show their teenagers what responsibility can do. Most parents didn't care about curfews when they were young, so teenagers who are more open-minded, independent, hormonal, short-tempered and rebellious think parents should understand. (Love, Dennis 2). Whether parents take on the power conferred by curfew restrictions is in question. (Love, Dennis 3). Parents with children who don't care where their child is or what they are doing can be shown how to assert parental competence. To a parent, a teenager is still a child and it is difficult for the teenager to understand how he or she is being looked down upon. (Love, Dennis 2). Having a curfew in towns and cities can give parents the opportunity to connect and collaborate with their children. Time spent bonding with your children allows...... middle of paper...... these laws and the people who enforce them there will always be corruption. (Stutson, Tamika 1). Keeping our criminal justice system proactive is critically important. (Stutson, Tamika 1). Ultimately, the implementation of curfews for teenagers must come from home. (Megan 1). It is easy for minor children to obtain false identity documents, drink and frequent bars and nightclubs, and also circumvent the curfew imposed by the municipality. (Megan 1). Children who stay at home and don't break the rules are the least of parents' worries, children who are harsh and irrational are the ones to worry about. Wild adolescents are children who have not had parental guidance. (Megan 1). Out-of-control teenagers make their own rules and curfew times. (Megan 1). If parents set rules and control their child, the rules will rarely be broken again by that child. (Megan 1).
