Topic > Master's Degree in Computer Science with specialization...

When I look back at my life, I see the dots that interconnected and traced a path that led to my interest in obtaining a Master's Degree in Computer Science with specialization in Systems IT and networks. I am from a small town, Rabkavi, located in Karnataka, India. During my school days mathematics was my favorite subject. I hit the nail on the head by getting an off score in my senior year of school. I could solve 10th class problems when I was in my 8th class. Besides mathematics, my other favorite subject was science. I got a score of 97/100 in science. How computers worked fascinated me greatly and computer networking simply mesmerized me. This made me curious to fully understand these technologies and contribute to their further development. My good scores in mathematics and science in 10th standard and pre-college level helped me get admission into the engineering degree course on merit. At the engineering faculty I was fortunate to have the guidance of a competent teacher. Given my interest in computers and networks, I was advised to focus on topics such as “C” programming, microprocessors, data structures and protocols which are essential for pursuing higher studies in this area. I took this advice seriously and began my journey to realize my ambitions. In my first year of engineering I studied interdisciplinary subjects and fundamentals of programming with C. "C Programming Language" by Denis Ritchie helped me understand the basics of "C". My knowledge of the subject helped me to be at the top of the class. In the 5th semester I successfully organized an event on C programming, “Ritchie fest”. My inquisitive nature has led me to do various assignments in C, some of which are banking software, mobile messaging in... middle of paper... it works. Finding the right place to do the Graduate program is a challenge in itself. I looked at the course offerings of many universities. I find that your university's curriculum offers me an excellent opportunity to work with eminent professors. I am interested in working with Associate Professor Yashar Ganjali, Professor Peter Marbach and Assistant Professor Bianca Schroeder. If given the opportunity, I am sure that I will use my full potential to contribute to the research currently underway in the university. After completing my undergraduate studies, I look forward to becoming an industrial researcher and contributing to cutting-edge technology. It will be my privilege to continue my graduate studies at your institution. I will certainly live up to the expectations of the illustrious teachers and uphold the prestige of your institute.
