Teaching Self-EvaluationThe evaluation document is a representation of my current teaching ability and the target areas in which I will improve. I taught Hooke's lab investigations, then grouped students into pairs and had them work at their lab stations. Given the laboratory stations set up - in the corridors -, I decided to have three groups of students work on each side of the corridors; however, the corridors were narrow and students barely had space to move within them. I have not asked students to move to other areas of the classroom to avoid losing focus, but it is something I will be more cautious about in the future. I need to provide a safe classroom environment that allows students to have ample space to work in, so I will check to provide the necessary space in future lessons. I initially thought that the proximity would allow adjacent groups to discuss their findings with each other, but even I had difficulty walking through the aisles to reach the struggling groups.
