It is important to note that it is a right for children to receive a quality education. In this respect, reasonable learning environments are a critical factor contributing to children's education. All parents want their children to have access to better and quality education. In this search, parents always look for learning environments with competent teachers and better learning facilities. It is therefore common to see parents always having the choice between taking their children to public schools, private schools or having them taught at home. Differing opinions on homeschooling and public schooling have recently been the subject of controversy. In any case, the two forms of learning should offer the learning child a better education. However, each of the two forms of learning environment should be supported by valid arguments as discussed below. Home Schooling In recent times, home education has been the most sought-after learning method by American parents. In fact, it is estimated that over 1 million children in America are homeschooling (Cooper, 2005). While this form of learning is legally acceptable, parents are tasked with teaching and instructing their children in all subjects. Additionally, parents can also hire private tutors for their children as part of homeschooling. This form of learning is intended to ensure that parents are committed to ensuring that their children are able to learn like other children in public schools. Personalized Attention Homeschooling provides the child with personalized attention (Hassel & Hassel. 2004). This is an alternative that ensures that a child is able to receive the right attention and is ultimately able to learn difficult subjects such as science and... middle of paper... able to serve the interests of the community through public participation. However, home education can also be provided by encouraging the parents and the child to participate in community development. Conclusion The environment through which education is carried out is fundamental to children's learning. From this aspect there are many forms of schooling that support the education of children; public school, home school and private school. However, each instruction method has advantages and disadvantages over other instruction methods. The above arguments are based on both homeschooling and public schooling. Each method of education focuses on pertinent issues that make the method the most ideal compared to the others. Furthermore, these topics focus on the realization of specific objectives of education and educational environments as indicated in each subheading.
