Because so much of politics and economics revolved around countries that had to work together to create a better community. This is also present in plays explaining the system of kings and "feudalism". However, this was a difficult impact for the people of the Renaissance for reasons of money and alliances that were formed. For the countries that bordered the Mediterranean Sea it was the place where allied countries exchanged their food and other sources with the other lands that needed them, and so there were trading posts to be delivered and retrieved. People often complained because of the old Renaissance ways when they were taxed so much that middle-income people couldn't even afford food for themselves. This is why people often saw ways too, which is why most ideas were rejected or never even mentioned. Like in Shakespeare's play Macbeth, where the assassin was hired by Macbeth to kill Banquo. Who would want to be involved or be responsible for breaking the law and having to pay dire consequences?
