The term conservation preservation is a term that describes conservation action designed to extend the useful life of the document as well as reduce the need for laboratory processing. Boxes and folders are examples of actions that include the replacement of acidic storage materials where with materials of known quality specified for archives, faster damage removal and also the reproduction of unstable materials. Beyond this, documents selected for heritage maintenance projects are chosen after evaluating a variety of archival considerations, including value, condition and intended use of the documents. In preservation, digital is also involved in digital preservation. But even in this case digital preservation presents problems. Conservation includes all activities of restoration, protection and maintenance of material information. Conservation involves direct and indirect action. In preservation and conservation, consideration is given to every element that promotes the protection of materials, including storage accommodation, and safety from threats such as mutilation, theft and mishandling.
