The language of music is known and spoken by many people around the world. Despite the different styles and types of music, people from countries all over the world can connect with the rhythms, dynamics and stories told through music. Schools and educational programs have discussed the philosophy behind the relationship with music education and the ability of students to excel in their academic achievement. They not only examined the effect or relationship that learning an art has on students' grades, but they also studied the effect it has on people's lives. In studies conducted by a variety of scientists, there has been a consistent finding that those who studied music also excelled academically. David J. Skorton said that studying music and the arts “helps us explore what it means to be human,” and while some may disagree, music is more than just sound. Young aspiring musicians can begin studying music at the age of five. . It is during these early years that they develop basic knowledge of music which later transforms into an understanding of sound. These young musicians usually choose to pursue a career in music, either in teaching or as a performance specialist. While music is a career path, it can also be an educational experience for anyone, despite their career aspirations. Studying music is proven to develop both hemispheres of the brain, unlike math or science, which focus primarily on the left hemisphere of the brain. Having the opportunity to express yourself and learn about musical creativity promotes right-brain development. While the technical aspects of music, learning to read music or understanding key signatures, help develop the left side of the brain. Exercise your brain through stu... half of paper... orchestras. He learns the meaning of responsibility when he is assigned the solo in a concert piece. These young musicians learn these things and other beneficial attributes. Not only do they apply what they learn to music, but they also apply it to school and work, making them more successful people. Music is more than just a sound, it's a way to learn and grow in life. Every student should have the opportunity to study a classical instrument, if not for the music, then at least for the knowledge it entails. Music is a way to fill the void in people's lives. It can bring a sense of meaning and purpose because of the joy it brings to others. Even if someone's career path isn't in music, studying it can help them develop useful traits in everyday situations.
