We humans live in a corrupt society. There are many things that make life difficult to live. For example, work, school or even small things make life difficult. One of the things that make human life difficult to live is other humans. We are constantly harmed by our peers in harmful ways. It's called bullying and it's completely wrong. Since the beginning of time people have been bullied in one way or another. This includes physical and verbal bullying. However, as we move forward in time, we humans find new ways to mistreat others. A new way we have decided to hurt others is called cyberbuying. Cyberbullying occurs when you harass a person via the Internet. Cyberbullies mostly use social media sites to provoke a person. Harassment via text message is also considered cyberbullying. An age group that suffers cyberbullying the most are teenagers. This is because teenagers are not fully mature and do not fully understand the effects that bullying can cause. Cyberbullying is generally committed by social media sites. These include but are not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, MySpace, and Facebook. Using these social media sites, cyberbullies lie and spread rumors. They also post negative pictures or videos about a person. They say offensive jokes to humiliate someone. They do other things too. But the main reason they do these things is to offend a person. Cyberbullying can be prevented using many methods. The most important method to stop cyberbullying is to address it. The first step in talking to your bully is not to offend him. Most of the time they will continue to react and this time it might even hurt more than the last. So when you... middle of paper... bully on a social media site like Facebook, your account needs to be taken down. This is because all social media sites must have an anti-bullying rule. The website may also block your IP address to prevent you from creating a new social media account. Another consequence of being a cyberbully is arrest. If you get caught cyberbullying, you will at least be fined for your actions. The amount of the fine depends on how much you hit the victim. If your bullying actions have caused harmful changes in the victim, you could be put in prison. The length of time you remain locked up also depends on the case. You will most likely be locked up if the victim commits suicide. If you are a cyberbully, please stop. The harm you are causing will offend someone else. Simply imagine yourself as a victim of cyberbullying.
