No society stands still, even if some humans resist change. Technological advances and the emergence of new beliefs allow people to have broader imaginations. Therefore, numerous new interpretations of ancient works, be they plays, folk tales or poems, permeate throughout the world. These interpretations retell the original stories in contexts that fit the modern world. What in the past was considered serious, today becomes a joke. William Shakespeare, one of the greatest English theater writers, has had a profound influence on several societies around the world since the 15th century, as his works inspire many contemporary artists to present new fields that reflect their societies. Considered one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies, Macbeth is given a completely disparate performance in the film Scotland, PA, which translates the original play into a black comedy. A Scottish royal and general, the protagonist Macbeth undergoes a demonic personality transformation, in which he unethically takes the crown by killing numerous characters. The director of the film alters the plot while maintaining the basic guise of power, ambition and masculinity of Shakespeare's work. In the film, the alteration of the trial Macbeth usurps Duncan's power, including his internal and external incentives, gives the audience a new perspective on one of the classic English works. Let the evil spread. Macbeth is set during the 11th century in England and mainly Scotland where horrendous and supernatural incidents occur. The appearance of three witches at the beginning envelops the plot with a disturbing atmosphere.
