“Allegory of the Cave”: Influencing People's Philosophies and ConceptsIn “Allegory of the Cave,” Plato discusses a variety of topics including reality, independence, and education . Plato addresses the concept that certain environments and its inhibitors influence an individual's beliefs and choices. Four distinct influences emerge when addressing change in one's behavior, including education, parenting, religion, and government. These four influences acquire both little and precious effects on human beings. Educational administrators influence a student's understanding of political and economic values in society. Although teachers educate children of the future, they also unconsciously guide them towards certain visions, both political and economic. As teachers express their opinion on the choice of the upcoming presidential elections, they generate distorted opinions in students.
