My personal traits are: trustworthy, trustworthy, warm, strict, sincere, loyal, kind-hearted, selfless and self-aware. Because these traits reside within me, I know I will be the best counselor I can be. When I sit with my clients, I realize that my attitudes towards people are sincere and understanding of their situations. The therapist can identify with the client's life experience. On the other hand, the therapist must pay attention to the special bond that the client may develop. A therapist who understands a client's history or trauma may actually be sympatric.
