Topic > We need a motivational speech by Nicolas Jame Vujicic

“If I fail, I try again, and again, and again. If you fail, will you try again? The human spirit can endure much worse things than we think. It matters HOW YOU FINISH. Will you finish strong?" Nicholas Vujicic is a motivational speaker born with Tetra-Amelia syndrome, a rare disease that involves the absence of all four limbs. Even though he was born this way, he has figured out how to live a happy life while he was still in this condition; he is married and has a child, it was difficult but he still managed to overcome the depression and now he comes and talks to the students about his struggle. Our school needs to get Nicholas James Vujicic to talk to our students. First, our school must get Nicholas to speak to our students because it will show them how important they are to this world. Many teenagers suffer from depression especially during high school and we are not sure how to deal with it. I believe that a motivational speaker will help not only those who already suffer but also students and staff who doubt themselves. Each year, 34,598 people die by suicide, which is an average of 94 completed suicides every day. You may not personally know anyone who has committed suicide, but believe it or not, several students have considered it. How many students have been brought to your office or Marla's office for self-harm? I know it's confidential, but statistics show that one in twelve teenagers self-harm. One study found that 10% of girls admitted to self-harm, compared to 6% of boys. Honestly, how do you address this issue in your school? Do you call your parents? What do parents do? What if his parents were the reason they found it necessary to leave... middle of paper... he was born without any limbs, but by focusing on the positive side of this situation he has managed to get farther in his life than the most of us. Life is about seeing the glass half full instead of half empty. Our school needs to get Nicholas James Vujicic to motivate our students. Nicholas will show our students that in this world they are just as important as anyone else. It would teach our students things they will never forget. Last but not least, it would teach our students that taking the easy way out or giving up is never the right decision. Nicholas James Vujicic has accomplished many things in his life even though he has a medical condition and was born without any limbs, but he doesn't let anything hold him back; we should look at this as an example of how to live our life and should not let any obstacle stand in our way.
