Book Review: The Audacity of Hopeful Thoughts on Recovering the American Dream This book written by Barack Obama directly develops the author's electoral path in relation to the broader context of politics, civic life, and the basic decency of the American people. The text reflects the author's beliefs such as the free market, competition and entrepreneurship. It also reflects his phenomenal leadership traits like humility, vision, intellectual power and many more. Towards the end of the report, an analysis of the author's leadership style is made compared to the Kouzes and Posner model along with what I personally take from this book and apply in the context of my life. The first part of the book guides us through understanding the two parties, Democrats and Republicans. Barack Obama claims to be a person who understood politics as a sport in its own right, subject to sharp elbows and the occasional blind shot. During his first Senate run in 2004, Obama won the Democratic primary by a sizable margin that appeared like "uncanny luck" and to political insiders his victory was not particularly noticeable. As he enters the Senate chamber and begins his journey into mainstream politics, Obama points out that the biggest problem exists in what he calls a gap between the magnitude of our challenges and the smallness of our politics. This is reflected through the opinions of ordinary citizens of the country. They may have different principles, live in different geographical parts of the country, yet they are waiting for a politician with the maturity needed to balance idealism and realism. He points out that people may not always understand the arguments of different political currents, however... in the middle of the paper... Bama mentions that, over the years, his title, his interactions, his program and much more Daily life events may have changed, however it still maintains and ensures a strong family support system. In my family we all live in different time zones around the world and sometimes we let our schedules get the best of us and we don't interact as much as we should. I am a very family-oriented person and it is extremely important for me to have this interaction. This is a great read in terms of understanding the author's political beliefs and inspires us to trust his strong sense of optimism moving forward. He is a prolific writer and I really enjoyed the read, however, to be honest, the one thing I think I can take away from this book and apply to my own life is the author's overriding respect for family structure and its understanding of its importance in family life. life.
