The result of all this is the election of poor-quality leaders who do not address, for example, the complaints Americans have about the Obama government (Newton, 2010). Furthermore, the morale of voters may weaken due to the constant poor selection of incompetent leaders, and this affects and diminishes the spirit of democracy. Furthermore, there is a dictatorship of the majority because the majority always wins, especially in elections. Political influence on democracy also brings the disadvantages of democracy (Janda, 2012). Politicians always incite people to vote for or against someone or a certain statute, and since people are politically vulnerable and susceptible to influence, the result is poor governance that results in economic and political degradation.
