They caught him stealing a car and holding a man with the same gun I saw the night Robert and I were robbed. I got down on my knees and cried with happiness, happiness at having my things back, but above all happiness at being alive. The officer said I was lucky because this man had a motive and it wasn't just stealing people's items, he was a very bad man. Come to find out, the guy is younger than me and will have to spend a lot of time in prison. This is a life experience I will never forget. It was definitely not a nice vacation or a happy memory, but it's also something that I will carry with me forever, and I will always remember one thing: observe my surroundings and treat others the way I want to be treated. Maybe if the man who stole from me had followed these simple rules he would be better off today, but all I can do is pray that he finds peace in his heart and never does something like this to anyone again. I feel luckier than ever and, as strange as it sounds, I am very grateful for this life
