In the process of creating my own high school, I would look at how the students are learning. From personal experience of attending a regular public school, I know that sitting in class all day did nothing. It kept me disinterested and not wanting to learn. Some students like this setting. Personally, no. In my school I would like to create an environment where students can choose the learning techniques they prefer. I would like to make it a fun environment for students to learn while also making sure they stay on track. My school is called Vamp High School, I chose this name because it seemed energetic to me. It is a small school of about 300 students. I choose to have few students so that the teaching staff can be more involved with their students. What's really brilliant about Vamp is that the colors of the building are wild. I made the building with all the different colors of neon to show the excitement and fun I want to bring to the theme of learning. At my school we will have the normal classes you need to take to graduate from high school. A unique way of learning at my school is that students can choose how they would like to learn because not all individuals are the same. The methods that students can choose from are frontal, practical, solitary or social lessons. I have a feeling that by letting students choose how they want to learn, they will maintain interest in what they are learning. My students would have no homework because some students might just copy each other and that doesn't help that person at all. I would expect students to homeschool on their own. Therefore, I would ask teachers to assign a worksheet in class once a week that contains the information they discussed that week. And whatever it is... middle of the paper... as their pace I feel will help in the long run. As I stated above, regular high school students, if they get into trouble, get punished or get punished and move on. I think this type of discipline does nothing for the student or solves the problem at all. If I had the choice, I would definitely go to the school I created. I feel that by choosing the way you want to learn you will learn more efficiently. If students can have a personal connection with their teachers, they can turn to them in times of need or desperation. Rather than get in trouble, go to your teacher to talk to him more as a mentor or person to get advice from. Overall, I think schools need to start paying attention to the needs of their students, as well as making sure they pass the tests. By guiding students in the right direction, they will become successful lifelong learners.
