Imagine if the computer had never been invented. The world would not have the technological advances or multiple devices we now take for granted. Also take the time to imagine how difficult it would be to live in a world without computers, it would be more difficult to store and process information. If it were not for many inventors, the world might not have had the modern computers used by people all over the world. The many advances in software we need for school work, such as Microsoft programs and the Internet. We also wouldn't have any of the devices we use almost every day like a laptop, cell phone or mp3 player. Sherry Turkel stated that “today's college students are accustomed to a world of online blogs, instant messaging, and web browsing,” which demonstrates how much people rely on computers (222). Even Isaac Asimov said “I'm not afraid of computers. I'm afraid we lack them", meaning that if a computer were not available to a person who normally uses one, it would show the difficulties for people in carrying out any of the many activities for which they use a computer because it makes the task easier to accomplish? This is why I am studying computers, because I want to find out how computers have improved our lives. To fully help my reader understand why without computers, the world would not have the many advances it enjoys today of relentless spirit that scientists have to improve today's computers even further. The computer had unassuming origins in 1936, when a German scientist named Konrad Zuse built a mechanical calculator and called it the Z1 was the world's first binary computer (the first freely programmable computer invented by Konrad Zuse 1 used it to discover nume...... middle of paper ......uter Invented by Konrad Zuse).
