Looking closely at philosophy, it is the study of problems related to existence, values, knowledge, mind, language and reason. This implies that philosophy is the study that involves addressing problems on the basis of rational arguments. It's a well-documented fact: the word philosophy is a Greek word meaning love of wisdom. As the name suggests, philosophy is connected to many topics such as politics, religion, and ethics, among others that involve absolute wisdom. In recent years, researchers have continuously raised questions regarding the themes outlining various emerging criticisms regarding Intelligent Design (Dembski, 2002). With this in mind, this article seeks to discuss what Intelligent Design [ID] supports, science and belief; furthermore, it will discuss the scientific criticism of IDWHAT INTELLIGENT DESIGN CLAIMSIntelligent Design claims that living things and the characteristics of the universe are best explained by an intelligent cause and not by a natural cause or selection. In other words, philosophy seeks to analyze that only the influence of an intelligent power explains the diversity and complexity we see today. According to Machen (1991), ID redefines science significantly to the extent that it invokes a supernatural point of view thus deserving irreducible criticism. Without a doubt, the ID argument is among the fundamental religious arguments for the existence of God that have developed for centuries. In the 13th century, Thomas Aquinas points out that intelligence allows natural things to achieve the best results by setting goals (Machen, 1991).
