Green homes can be fueled by numerous resources that Earth has in abundance. Different types of green house resources are abundant, with traditional houses; resources are scarce and limited. With new and improved eco-friendly homes supported by the use of renewable resources, the demand for resources that power these homes is an important aspect that designers and homeowners need to address, the different types of resources are limited but they are all recyclable and they will continue to be in abundance. The most popular way many people get the energy they need in a green home is through solar energy. This is natural sunlight that is captured and transformed to power electricity in homes by installing solar panels. The resources needed to power an eco-friendly home are important, and the need for affordable, easy-to-access resources is vital. The sun is the most common and most admired resource to use due to its variety of uses. The sun has a variety of possibilities that could be used to convert into electricity and even for hot water production processes. Another reason why it is the most common is because it is the simplest to install and obtain and also saves humans the most amount of money. Another way to obtain energy that is gaining popularity is through wind energy. An article written by an anonymous writer states: “The most efficient of green energy sources is wind. Wind is the safest and cleanest of green energy sources as it produces no pollutants and does not contribute to global warming. Wind energy is harnessed by building a turbine that spins in the breeze generating electricity" ("Green Energy Sources").
